About the Wedding
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 31.
You’re more than welcome to let us know sooner!
How do I get to ACRE?
Transportation TO and FROM the wedding will be provided, no matter where you’re staying.
We’ll need your room number or house number if you’re not staying at JW.
The shuttle will make extra stops and pick you up on the way.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Please arrive at 3:30pm.
The ceremony starts at 4pm.
There will be a short walk to the ceremony space through the resort, and you may want to take photos or simply enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Are kids welcome at the wedding?
While we would love to have your kids be part of the celebration, we are only having our nieces and nephews in attendance.
About Cabo
Should I stay in San Jose or San Lucas?
“Cabo” has two main regions, hence the “Los Cabos” name (The Cabos).
San Jose del Cabo is closest to the airport and where the wedding will take place, so we recommend staying in this area. It’s a wonderful area with plenty to see and do.
Cabo San Lucas is about a 40 minute drive down the coast, and has slightly more energetic party vibes. If you stay here, you’ll need to plan ahead for how to get to and from the wedding.
BONUS – The highway region connecting Los Cabos is called the “Tourist Corridor”.
Any hotel recommendations?
We are staying at the JW Marriott Los Cabos in San Jose.
We do not have a room block, so you are more than welcome to choose another hotel that fits your price range and preferred amenities.
If you do choose to stay with us at JW, please let us know so we can keep an eye out for you at the pool!
Any airport shuttle recommendations?
There are lots of options with different pricing based on group size, hotel distance, and whether you want a shared or private ride. The following services are great options that we’ve used before:
- TransCabo
- transcabo.com
- Great for shared shuttles
- Starts at $44 per person, round trip
- Cabo Shuttle Services
- loscabosairportshuttles.com
- Great for private shuttles
- VivoLX
- vivolx.com
- A little more luxury
- Use coupon code “kelseyandnathin”
If you are staying at JW Marriott, they have two shuttle options:
- Shared: $41 per person, roundtrip
- Private: $244 per van, seats 1-10 ppl (let them know if you need a larger van)
- To book, call JW Marriott concierge at +52 624 163 7600
Our strongest recommendation is to get your airport transportation figured out BEFORE getting to Cabo.
Taxis are available all the time out of the airport the rate is between $70 to $80 for up to 4 people, each way.
PRO TIP – Once you collect your luggage, go outside. There will be two rooms of timeshare salespeople located inside trying to talk to you. They sound very convincing:
“There are two exits, do you know which one you need?”
“You book with Costco? We can help.”
“Are you checking in for your ride?”
Whatever service you book with will send you check in instructions. There’s a very obvious areas outside dedicated to shuttle services.
Can we visit you at JW?
Probably not.
Neighborhood regions and resorts around Cabo are pretty secure. They usually ask if you have reservations, or check if you’re staying at the property, and typically don’t allow outside guests to “stop by” and use the facilities without paying for a day pass.
We are putting together a guest list for the “Welcome Party” on Saturday so people can visit during that time.
What's the USD to MXN exchange rate?
It changes daily, but it’s about 20 to 1.
$200 MXN = $10 USD
$500 MXN = $25 USD
$1000 MXN = $50 USD
You can usually pay with a credit card most places (choose to pay in Pesos when asked).
Easiest way to get around town?
Uber. It’s super cheap.
Just don’t call for an Uber at the major Taxi pickup spots (they don’t like each other).
If you’re renting a car, please be aware there are toll roads that cost about $2.50-$6.00. It’s best to pay in Pesos, but they should accept USD and credit cards.
